Meet the Board

Carolyn Kirshe

Chief Executive Officer

Carolyn is a senior in the McDonough School of Business, double majoring in Marketing and Operations Information Management. She is also a Global Business Fellow. If you know Carolyn, you know she loves Marketing - she was the former CMO of Innovo Consulting, former President of the Georgetown Marketing Association, and interned at Prophet Brand Consulting this past summer. When she’s not being super *extra*, she sings 5pm mass at Dahlgren Chapel and competes internationally for the Georgetown Case Competition Team. She loves cute GIFs of puppies and will put hot sauce on literally everything.

Luke Lamey

Director of Consulting

Luke is a junior in the School of Foreign Service majoring in International Politics and International Security. As Co-Director of Consulting for Innovo, he is in charge of recruiting clients and overseeing projects. He has been with Innovo since his freshman year and has worked as a consultant and a project manager. Outside of Innovo, Luke is involved in Ultimate Frisbee and Catholic Campus Ministry. An Idaho native, he enjoys skiing, mountain biking, whitewater kayaking, and just about anything outdoors. In D.C., he enjoys biking around the District and exploring the city with friends. He is passionate about the work Innovo does for its clients and building the Innovo family.

Lionel Simm

Director of Consulting

Lionel Simm is a senior at Georgetown University in the School of Foreign Service majoring in Global Business. As Director of Consulting, he oversees project managers, recruits clients, and develops relationships with local incubators and international partners.

When he isn’t working, Lionel indulges in his passion for music by attending concerts and festivals or mixing music at home. As a California native Lionel also loves to hike America’s beautiful great outdoors.

Jayan Hanson

Chief Operating Officer

Jayan is a junior in the McDonough School of Business majoring in Finance, minoring in Economics and Spanish, and achieving the Global Business Fellows Certificate. He serves as Innovo’s Chief Operating Officer and was formerly a Project Manager. Outside of Innovo, Jayan is also a Vice President in the Student Investment Fund and a semi-competitive club athlete with Running Club. His interests include World Cup history, Settlers of Catan, and Hispanic cinema.

Owen Walsh

Director of Program Development

Owen is a senior in the McDonough School of Business majoring in Operations and Information Management with a minor in Math. He has been with Innovo for two years now, serving as a consultant for two semesters, a project manager for one semester, and a board member during Spring 2019. Outside of Innovo, Owen is also a member of Georgetown’s Club Swim Team, where he attends practice approximately twice a month and competes only when he is talked into it. He spent this past summer performing software development as an IT intern at Jefferies, and he plans on moving into the technology consulting space after graduating. When he is not napping, he enjoys exploring D.C. with friends to find new places with good food.

Ashish Patel

Director of Development

Ashish is a junior at Georgetown double majoring in Finance and Operations and Information Management with a minor in Government. As Director of Development, he leads education programs for new-hires and current consultants, helping Innovites bring quality to their client deliverables. Outside of Innovo, Ashish works at the Business School Technology Center and interns at J.P. Morgan. He loves to play soccer, meet new people, and eat cheap food.

Karina Chan

Director of External Outreach

A Bay Area native, Karina is a senior at Georgetown studying Computer Science and Business Administration. She was a consultant for two years before becoming a project manager and is now part of the officer team. She spent her last summer doing software engineering at a microbial engineering startup and became very familiar with both micro-service architecture and a well-stocked office pantry. Karina is tone-deaf, yet one day aspires to be a great DJ.

Carter Owen

Director of Community

The oldest of three, Carter is a senior from Long Island, NY majoring in Management and minoring in Psychology. He has been an active member of Innovo since his Sophomore Spring, and he currently serves as the Director of Community. Last year, he served as a project manager for Little Sailor Book Company and a consultant for the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure. This past summer, he interned in management consulting at Goetzpartners and intends to pursue consulting after graduation. Carter loves basketball and is a huge Knicks & Hoyas fan; you'll see him working out or playing pickup at Yates whenever he can. He also loves meditation and leads weekly group meditations at the John Main Meditation Center. Fun Fact - he knows the words to all 1,000+ songs in his music library and love to sing them while driving.
